This is a premium product and is plaster sand that has been processed through a wash plant to ensure consistency of the product and at the same time reduce the clay content within the soil. Washed Plaster sand is used for plastering of walls to ensure a high-end high-quality finish. Washed Plaster can also be used as filler sand in the production of concrete products such as Ready Mix. Certain washed plaster sands can also be used for bedding material for electrical cables and pipes

Red Pit Sand is ideal for face brickwork as the colour usually remains consistent and provides a smooth end finish. Red Pit matches well with Red and Brown Face Brick and gives a darker colour finish to the cement.

River sand is used for secreting and cement mortar products in the construction market. It is also ideal to use for bedding material for under ground pipes and cables and is also suitable as a bedding layer for paving.

Plaster sand is an alluvial product. It is mine stock piled and loaded on the trucks for delivery to the customer unlike washed plaster sand this product is not processed through a washed plant. Normal plaster sand is inconsistent in term of clay content and is not recommended for plastering of walls. Normal plaster sand can be used for paving grout, bedding sand and for plaster work that does not require high end finishes.

Yellow Pit Sand is ideal for face brickwork as the colour usually remains consistent and provides a smooth end finish – Yellow Pit Sand matches well with Yellow and light coloured face bricks with a light grey cement finish.

Builder’s Mix is a crushed stone product available in 13mm or 19mm diameter and is typically used for concrete production and self-cast foundations. This is a dry mix and the user still needs to add cement and water.

Also known as Local Pit Sand, the most common application for building sand is to use it as mortar mix for the laying of bricks. This sand is quarried from pits and is typically brown, red or yellow in colour, depending on the area.

Local Pit is generally not recommended for face brick as it is more likely to change colour at any given time and is generally coarser than Red, Yellow or Black Pit Sand.
